DfT statistics reveal that the biggest single contributory factor on the

to look properly (25%, in accidents involving a bike), followed by failing

road from the pavement (8%), and careless or reckless behaviour (8%).
Total 51 per cent, so if cyclists improved their own use of the roads the
KSI rate would be halved at a stroke.

You are either stupid or a liar. Probably both.
See the source for the article:-http://assets.dft.gov.uk/statistics/releases/road-accidents-and-safet...
Look at the source of your misquoted figures, Table RAS50005.
It is not about car/cycle accidents. It is called "Table RAS50005:
Contributory factors reported for vehicles in reported accidents by
vehicle type: GB 2010"
Yes the thread title needs changing to be more accurate.
"...When a cyclist over 25 sustained serious injuries, the motorist
was entirely at fault in between 64% and 70% of the time, with the
cyclist at fault in between 23% and 27% of incidents (p33).
In cases when a cyclist over 25 died in a crash, the motorist was
deemed entirely at fault in between 48% and 66% of incidents (p33),
and the cyclist in 33% to 43% (p33)..."

A driving licence is sometimes a licence to kill.
