Yep. I NEVER would've pictured Ashcroft as a sympathetic figure, but
this is totally ridiculous. It's gotten to the point where profanity
and recounting episode after episode of this crap doesn't even begin
to piant the picture.
UMass wants to give Card an honorary degree and I don't think it's
going to happen due to the protests. If they try and award it they'll
have a riot on their hands and they know it.
There's just no low they won't sink to in advancing their global
vision. Unfortunately they've created a disaster where millions are
going to die no matter which course anyone takes now.
If I was a Democrat I wouldn't want the Presidency coming up because
the disaster is just going to get worse. "Yep I yanked out the US
troops which triggered a huge sectarian genocide which then expanded
into a regional war by proxy in which several million people have been
killed." or "We needed to keep US troops on the ground to prevent
destabilising the whole region and that's why they have been able to
kill thousand of US troops, and continue to expand terrorism around
the globe."
There is no good way out of this and if it explodes the world wont
let the US off the hook like they did for SE Asia, especially since
almost Country in the region except the Iranian backed folks are
insisting that the US can't leave right now because it will be a
complete disaster.
One sad thing is that this Administration will never admit that the
whole thing was a complete cluter**** and created by them.
How much better does another series of air strikes on suspected
nuclear facilities after Husseins jerking around the UN look instead
of a totally screwed occupation. Bush wanted a war there at all costs,
and only history will be able to count that cost, and those'll just be
estimates in the end because of the scale of the disaster.
