She's a sophomore in college and is still 3 feet off what it takes to
win the Olympics. Most Olympic caliber athletes are pretty much at or
close to their prime by the time they are a sophormore at college. She
is nowhere near world class.

If you are even a national class miler in college, you should be able to
run a sub 4-minute mile by your freshman year.

So this chick is going
to have a short career if she doesn't make the 2012 Olympics (which she
won't). There' ain't no way to be world class at the pole vault unless
you make the Olympci or worlds team. Otherwise, there's no sustainable
income in this specialty.
