Yes, it looked like Sanchez got a second wind, when he dropped Evans.
Valverde seems to be riding smoother than the others: it appears to me
he's putting out less effort and still maintaining the front.
Did Basso ever get off his saddle? He's riding like the old Jan.


Don't think so, he certainly seems to be limited, reminds me of how he
raced in the 2003 or 2004 TDF, solid but unspectacular, then it
changed in 2005...He seemed to be saying he would do better at the
Vuelta than at the Giro but frankly he seems to be at the same level.
