Warren is correct. Timed events at Alpenrose are slower, about 1 sec/lap or
more depending on the event as shown by the records below. Alpenrose is
probably the second slowest velodrome in the country. On the other hand, it
is slow for everyone so it doesn't really effect the competition. There are
lots of reasons why it is slow that I could delineate if any one is
interested.
