Default UK cyclist sets motor-paced speed world record

It highlights the massive dependency of high speed personal / low passenger transportation on energy due to wind resistance.

Some in the EU have suggested packing semi-autonomous vehicles together on freeways. These cars can brake faster [draft closer] than humans to get much greater fuel efficiency.

Musk suggested the "hyperloop" but even a 15 m vacuum tube like those used to cool lettuce -- about the same size as a hyperloop tube -- is expensive. Vacuum tubes are so expensive they are hauled all over the West depending on which area is harvesting lettuce. It's cheaper than building more tubes.

Still it's good someone at least tried to end run wind resistance.
