Dear Mike,

The tweel's flexible spokes do a nice job of illustrating how the
spokes under a loaded axle behave:

Unless Michelin comes up with some kind of cover, the wind drag will
be impressive. Maybe the flexing shown in the picture would prevent
snow, ice, and slush from filling the voids?
