Default Driver admits to cycling on the pavement

The cyclist probably wanted to get far away from the foul-mouthed nutcase driver.
QUOTE:
A driver's rage at being stuck behind a 'slow' cyclist turned into a comic, expletive-filled rant, captured on his dashcam, which reached full fury when the ride recklessly ran a red light.

The footage starts with Owain Morgans, 40, ferociously criticising the cyclist - whose only 'offences' at this stage seem to be riding in the road in front of Mr Morgans, going a little too slowly for the driver's liking, and being 'fat'.

The clip, recorded prior to lockdown on March 22, shows traffic moving slowly on Sandy Road, a busy A-road in in Llanelli, South Wales, with the cyclist in front of Mr Morgans' car.

Mr Morgans, a mechanic, can be heard ranting: 'Where is this fat c*** going on? What do you f****** doing? Why don't you just go down the pavement like? I cycle on the pavement, you should keep your wits about you.

'If there is terraced houses and no front gardens OK, if you want to make progress yeah go on the road.'

Mr Morgans claims to be a a relatively keen cyclist himself, despite his obvious dislike for bikes on the road and disregard for the highway code rule that bikes must not cycle on pavements.

After a brief discussion with his wife about an Ed Sheeran lookalike he spots at the side of the road, Mr Morgans' car gets stuck behind the slow moving cyclist, with even the learner driver who was in front of them now far in the distance.

He can be heard telling his wife: 'That's that musician, that one that all the girls like, he's ginger, like the only famous ginger person. Yes, Ed Sheeran.' Mr Morgans then shouts towards the cyclist: 'Don't go on the road unless you can keep up with the flow of traffic. He's not even pedalling.'

His wife tells him to 'stop' but he claims that it is all an act for the benefit of the dash cam.

Finally a small gap in oncoming traffic emerges and he is able to overtake the cyclist which he does with enthusiasm.

Mr Morgans makes racing car sounds as he chants: 'I'm gonna pass him, I'm gonna pass him.'

But just two seconds later the traffic lights up ahead change to red, forcing him to stop, and making him swear again.

Moments later the cyclist finally lives up to Mr Morgan’s low opinion of him. He overtakes the car and swerves across him to turn left – while the traffic light is still red. Blood now at boiling point, Mr Morgans shouts: 'And he runs a red light!'

Sharing the footage on Facebook group 'Bad drivers caught on dash cam' Mr Morgans simply wrote: 'If you don't like swearing I'd suggest you don't watch.'

Despite the warning the post has attracted over 800 likes, 150 comments and has been shared 650 times.

Joe McNally commented: 'A welsh man shouting at a cyclist. I'm in bits, got a feeling this may go viral.'

Graham Foster-Coy wrote: 'It's like listening to fireman Sam on drugs! You need to calm down a bit there lad.'

Kris Jackson added: 'You sir are an absolute legend! Better narration than Sir David Attenborough!'

Kienan Connolly simply said: 'Quality.'
