Police appeal after cyclist injured in Endike Lane road rage attack

A cyclist was badly beaten in Hull and had to be rushed to hospital for treatment after a vicious road rage attack.

It happened after a white van drove who passed so close to the cyclist that he was nearly knocked from his bike in Endike Lane on Tuesday, February 25, at around 5.20pm.

After the close shave, the cyclist caught up to the van at the traffic lights near to Iceland in stationary traffic and spoke to the van driver about what happened.

According to the cyclist, the passenger got out of the van and assaulted the cyclist and the driver then also got out and further assaulted the man.

The cyclist has suffered serious facial injuries in the incident requiring hospital treatment. Two men have been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH) in connection with the incident and have been released pending further enquiries.
