Default Ride report

Lovely day, Went out about 18:00.

New front brake blocks Salmon Kool Stop much better than the almost
useless blocks I had on before. I also bought some Swiss Stop Blue so
might try them tomorrow.

Whilst riding I noticed a fatal accident notice on route and a little
bit further on the police were attending an accident where a motorist
appeared to have crashed into a parked car, she (presumably the victim)
was still in the front seat and the ambulance staff appeared to be
trying to get her to read something. Dunno what that was about.

Obviously I know this isn't as exciting as Pounder posting an article
about a cyclist riding through a red light with out incident a few
hundred miles from where he lives.

Oh, the fatal accident, another one of those motorist crashes into shop
types.

Cheers - don't think we've had a ride report for about 15 years!

Seems a weekly occurrence when a driver crashes into a building , even
pedestrians on the pavements etc.

That was kind of my point. Cheerful searches the global for news stories
about bike accidents. This is just what happened on my ride yesterday.

If this had been a cyclist killing a person on the road we would have
heard about it for weeks. If it were on the pavement the story would be
repeated for years. The carnage is so usual it just goes unnoticed.
People just ignore the damage cars cause.

"People just ignore the damage cars cause".

And in a newsgroup about cycling, so they should.

Your post and thread are OT for this group. I have therefore taken the
liberty of cross-posting it to a couple of more appropriate NGs.

OT for ukrc (especially seen as the thread unfolds).

Cross-posted to more appropriate NGs.

In a desperate attempt to retaliate with the same joke, you display a
sense of humour failure and lack of wit.

What's new?
