Default RR: Reuinited (and it feels so good)

Got out on the SS last night for the first time in a month. I was
expecting some serious pain, but it wasn't bad. The spin from the house
to the trails was probably the hardest part (with a couple of friends on
geared bikes).
Once we climbed up Jacks (cleaned it) I could see cows in the area. Man,
I hate that this is open range. It goes from so nice and firm with
pretty grasses and flowers like it was last week to dusty, barren, and
(literally) ****ty in no time. Luckily I've noticed where the cows like
to be in the area and we managed to avoid them and most of their wake by
sticking to ridge tops and rocky areas.
The bike was running very smoothly. Like buttah, silently gliding along
and carving quick turns like a slalom ski. My fellow riders were a
couple of old friends I went to college with. We used to come out to
this area and have these crazy all night acid trip parties back in the
early 90's. We reminisced about those days gone and how things are a bit
different now (like we all have kids and jobs). "Remember that one time?
That was so awesome! I wonder which rock outcropping we were on? I think
it was the one that looked just like a fire-breathing dragon. Actually,
I haven't seen it since that night.".
Rattlesnake was in nice shape. I cleaned it for the first time on the
SS, which was nice. I also got a great view of one of the guys, Brad,
doing a perfect, slow-mo endo right in front of me. Beautiful! He was
OK. It's funny, he quit riding in 1990 and just got a bike again and is
on the trails for the first time since then. He's a really strong rider
with really bad (or non-existent) skills. So he hammers the open climbs
and then crashes or has to stop and get realigned periodically on the
downhills and technical climbs. It can be quite amusing.
From Rattlesnake we hit Rocky Ridge, Broken Shovel, Skyline, and
Josh-O's, which we looped back to Rocky Ridge the opposite way, then a
Becks DH and finish it off with the Notch. It was a beautiful evening.
We topped it off with burritos and beers at Blue Iguana. Life is good!

You call that acid. Please acid was the 60s and early
70s. Purple Haze,Orange Sunshine, Purple Micro Dot. Real LSD. Keep
riding that SS cause one speed is all you need.

Very nice. It was definitely flowing and just felt smooth and fast.
That's what I had before but the threads got messed up before the bike
was mine and it's been limping along for quite a while. I have one on
the front too and it's still going strong.
For ~1/5 the price of a King hub it sure seems like a nice alternative.

Matt (maybe I'll do Kings on my next SS if I score a nice bonus or
something)

Actually X is not really new. It's MDMA, which was being slipped under
the tongue back in the 60s along with other interesting distractions.
One of the songs on the _Hair_ soundtrack mentions MDMA.

Not that I know anything about this stuff. I heard about it from, uh,
others.

Good RR, but I've had that silly Peaches & Herb song stuck in my head
for the past 3 days now, TYVM.

gabrielle, plotting revenge.
