Squishing sound from shock upon rebound, normal or air in the oil?

Oil in the air, more likely.

Let out all the air, compress shock fully, then re-inflate. If noise still
there, then possibly an oil seal has leaked a bit. (Some air shocks just
make squishy sounds, so if performance not affected don't worry about it.)

My SID used to make a funny sound on rebound, tracks with lots of jumps you
could always hear where I was.
It never seemed to affect the performance and it went away after a couple of
rebuilds.

The rebuilds were to stop the negative chamber leaking, it's possible that
the noise was from the extra fast rebound with no negative chamber slowing
it down.
