Are there any options for swiss threaded bottom brackets, other than
Phil and the various expanding plug things?

For square-taper BB axles?

Mavic (now Stronglight production):

I've been using one for years on an old team bike that was set up for
Mavic. Can't say I've put tons and tons of miles on it but it has at
least one honest road season on it and has needed adjustment once.

Yes, depending on the crank application you'll have other,
maybe many, choices.

For a Super Record 11 carbon crank, no.

What I use are Phil rings in Swiss combined with an Eglish Shimano UN-72
from which the OEM rings have been removed. Works well for French
threaded BB using Phil French rings too. Sadly, UN-72 are hard (yet not
impossible) to find these days. I assume that some other cartridge BB
similar in form will work as well. But I do not think there are any
other Shimano ones where you could remove the cups and replace them with
Phil.

Best option? Have a framebuilder chop that sucker out of there and
braze in an American shell. Probably wouldn't cost more than a
confounded Phil BB that you have to glue into your frame.

No beef with OPC here, but CH bikes do have that certain
something:

That being a 'charm extraction' perhaps?
Or a literal 'je ne sais quoi' and I don't either.

Non-responsive, but thanks for letting your fear of things you don't
like show once again. It's been at least a week since you've
suggested something equally stupid.

Yeah, some people do not like it, when an amateur rider obtains
professional cyclist speeds due to racing a bicycle whose technology was
not frozen at April 1, 1934 [1] levels.

[1] The date UCI regulations were implemented banning anything other
than standard geometry uprights from racing.
