Frank objects vigorously to any statement that implies that "Frank doesn't know what he is talking about" even though he has just stated that "ALL ideas are valid". (which seems to say something about Frank's version of reality) Rather, it says something about inability to recognize a joke, even when it's followed by the usual emoticon. Maybe the problem is that some people really do believe _all_ opinions are equally valid. F=m*a^2, E=m*c^3, V=i*R^4, 2+2=347, and riding facing traffic is just fine. But in all seriousness, I think the Pope - and almost all educate men - are far beyond that. All developments since the early stone age have occurred because most people realize that some things are correct and some other things are wrong. - Frank Krygowski |

You think your opinions are correct and contrary opinons are incorrect. You dress up your opinions as facts - you convince *yourself* they're facts. And as for the Catholic Shurch trying to "determine correctness", that's a moving target, is it not? In fact, one might say it's an imaginary target that keeps not being where they thought it was. What's up with that? But of course, "all ideas" are not valid. Frank objects vigorously to any statement that implies that "Frank doesn't know what he is talking about" even though he has just stated that "ALL ideas are valid". All developments since the early stone age have occurred because most people realize that some things are correct and some other things are wrong. People often say, "right", when they mean "correct"; but "correct" and "right" are different things. (I realize that you will be unable to conceive of this.) Appreciate accuracy for what it is; don't worship it as the exclusive validation of ideas. That's just sad. |
