Default Zabriskie the stage racer?

So Dave Z. zooms up Ventoux with the leaders - Can he ever win a big
stage race?

He's definitely showing more promise this year than he has in years
past. It helps that he hasn't been crashing or putting his hand
through glass doors.

Go, DZ!

He's something like 28 1/2 years old. There's still a chance he'll
catch fire.

I remember a TV interview with you know who where one of Bob/Phil/Paul
asked him what he thought of DZ (besides the Dumb and Dumber nickname
he gave Floyd & Dave) and he said DZ's got the engine to be a GC
contender, if only he could get more comfortable riding in the pack
(hopefully as comfortable as when he is alone on the TT course).

Maybe instead of doing that, he's chosen to be out in front either in
breakaways or at least near the front of the pack all the time.
