Hi
Does anyone here ride with a broom to get rid of glass that is
constantly on your path.
Geniuses around here think it is good karma to smash bottles at the
beginning and end of the bike/walking trail

Gotta stop forgetting to bring my dustpan. Maybe that is why witches ride
brooms

no, but i have actually wen tback to the riding path with push broom and
blower in hand and groomed the offensive area and received all kinds of
weird looks and kudos from fellow cyclist. We should not be punished
from the inconsideration of others and as we all know, tires and tubes
can be expensive.

No, I use Schwalbe Marathon Plus (Kevlar) and haven't had a problem since.
Even had a 1/2 inch long metal piece 1/3 stuck in and didn't get a flat.

I take the same route to work by bike or car. Twice I have rememebred
to take a broom in the car and stop by some bad sections for a quick
sweep.

Yeah, and in bigger cities like Vancouver it is no problem since they clean

thank-you very much
I tried to get them to resurrect a stop sign that fell over on a down hill
(bike trail) into busy traffic and they did not respond for six months.
So much for weeding me out of their traffic plans. har har har

I'd go higher up than the maintenance dept. and explain the monetary
liabilties should there be a mishap. Would any of these be elected
personnel?

Is the Schwalbe Marathon a push broom or a sweep broom? It sounds
expensive. ;-)

it drives me nuts... some of the bike lanes have busted glass and all
kinds of crap. One of them is really bad... broken glass everywhere.
It's like Kristallnacht happened and no one told me about it!

I've been known to take the yard vac down to the corner and suck up a
load-o-crap once in a great while when the broken glass gets a bit too
plentiful, but nothing farther afield.

It would be all along the trail except that the two principle groups
of yahoos can't throw that far from their pickemups and subwoofered
Hondas.

Witches ride brooms because nature abhors a vacuum; I thought
everybody knew that by now.
