I got to ride a terra trike today
I got a email from a fellow that had visited my webshots photo page.
Turns out that he is newly bent. He is a proud owner of a new Whiz Wheels terra trike. I had been hearing from the guys that hang around the country store that they had been seeing a bike like mine except that it had three wheels. Well the guy that emailed me is the guy they had seen. Small world Huh? Anyway I hooked up with the trike owner and his wife today and got the chance to take the trike out for a spin. My impressions? Nice trike. Candy apple red, deore mechanical disk brakes and 20" tires all around. I always wondered if the tadpoles were rough riding and now I know they are not.lots of fun to ride and comfy too. I also found out that they are not for me. Way to low to the ground and for me the tad poles are to hard to get in and out of. Guess I'm just a RANS LWB kind of guy:-) |

But I live in Bloomington, IN (home of the Hilly Hundred). The Voyager is much - much nicer on hills. On the RANS Tailwind, I sometimes think I walk more then I ride because of the grade and number of hills. The Penninger also rides a lot higher then a tadpole configuration trike, and is considerably easier to get on instead of feeling like you are crawling into a tadpole configuration. Jim |

I also rode my TerraTrike today; to a little thing called BikeFest.
Very pleasing to see Greenspeed, Optima, S&B, Penninger alongside Haluzak, EZ-3, Raven, and who knows what else. My TT has become my erector set, and getting in the cockpit (overhead fairing) is a real chore. But normally, it is very easy to sit in for me. The TT is too low?!?!? RANS must be pretty high! C'ya on the Mississippi River Trail sometime. Grins, Art in Memphis Also: Anyone else in the area who wishes to test ride a TerraTrike 3.4 can email me at minus the NOTSPAM.
