Unconscious humour?

"POLICE have launched a crackdown on cyclists who are “putting their lives at
risk” by riding without lights during terrible conditions at the darkest time
of the year.

"Officers stopped 33 riders in two hours at Bournemouth’s Cemetery Junction...".

I have no problem with this. As a cyclist, it's common knowledge to
use a light at night. I don't have a problem with the government
making money off of idiots.

I'm actually very surprised that 33 cyclists were stopped within two
hours. Hopefully the law will make people use lights.

Regards,
Cullen

A most appropriate place to pull them over for riding without lights.
No doubt the psycholists will claim Police harassment because they
know that drivers have infra-red night vision and will always be able
to see them!

P.S. I forgot that the psycholists will also claim that drivers will
be confused by those flashing LED lights that the minority of cyclists
who carry lights often use! Personally I think they are great.

Maybe the cyclists think it won't make much difference anyway to half-
blind killer drivers. When I was rammed I was using lights and the
motorist admitted he didn't even see me. Pity the police can't pull
over drivers to test their night vision.

Just changing the subject heading to what it should be. Doug is being
childish again!

I was injured as luckily it happened at slow speed. I could easily
have been killed.

Because it is deliberately biased against cyclists on a cycling
newsgroup and originates from a motorist.

so you actually have no opinion on why cyclists don't have lights at night?
and you think that my question is anti-cyclist? It is a question about uk
cyclists, where is your problem with that?
