It's in New Hampshire - at 6,288 feet, Mount Washington is the highest
point in New England, and part of the Presidential Mountain Range. Also
home of the world's worst (human-observed) weather, where a 231 mph wind
gust was observed at the summit in 1934.

The race was on the auto road:

Congrats, Ben. That's a towering accomplishment!

Congratulations to all three of you. I'm growing to like climbing but
I'm not so sure I'd like Mt. Washington that much.

What is the normal weather for Mt. Washington this time of year? What
was the weather like at the start of the race at the bottom?

Bummer that it was so foggy at the top. It cheats you of the views
after all that climbing. I've done climbs up Marys Peak near Corvallis
Oregon and most of the time when I get to the top it is either fogged in
or very overcast. Rarely do I get to enjoy the view up there.

A fantastic achievement written up brilliantly. Best post I've read for
months. Bet those legs hurt more than mine today.

Incredible feat, guys!! The mountains here are beautiful to look at,

Well done guys, I bet you felt a great sense of achievement when you
finished. It must have been some climb to get up a hill so big. The
pictures showed the gradient really well.
