Default Four things to say goodbye to in 2005

Hey,

1) Heinz Verbruggen The UCI boss is ending Kelme, which is fine. But
letting Cofidis continue is a crime. Don't even talk about the
stupidity of the proposed Pro Tour (www.uci.ch) for the future. Talk
about killing tradition.

2) Dario Pieri Mr Krispy Kreme was second in P-R in 2003, 17 kilos
heavier this year, and will be unemployed by 2005.

3) Sea Otter road events It took this long for teams and racers to
figure out that Rick Sutton is a clown, and should only be promoting
fourth of july town fairs in Montana.

4) USPS Team. Don't lose heart, The US has had a team in the Tour
EVERY year since 1986, and American's have won half of the last 20
Tour de France. Someone will pick up the slack. Don't be surprised if
it is Dodge (Daimler-Chrysler).

You heard it here first. Look how accurate my Gord/Mario thread is a
year later.

Thanks,
Ronde Chumpion

umm ok if you say so, but mtb is at an all time low in USA sponsership
and TV time wise, (and I'm only guessing particapationshipwise) except
DH of course, and is that really bike racing?

yep some US team will emerge but will they comand the likes of Postal,
which is likely to become BarryFloor out of Beligium?

Mario and his train will school the US teams.

Thanks,

Rick Sutton is a clown, and should only be promoting
fourth of july town fairs in Montana.

Please moderate your advocacy of relegating Mr. Sutton to our neck. From my
vantage point, it looks as though Sea Otter needs him far more than any Montana
town might. Oh, and by the way, they're called "county" fairs, not "town" fairs
in these parts. Unless you're talking "ro-day-o"; in that case, most every town
has one at some point during the summer.

Isn't that 8 of the last 18? Which either ties the US or puts them one
ahead of Spain

And while we are at it, Tiger, why didn't you point out the when referenced in the plural, Tour de France is a total no-no.
