I heard from a friend of a friend of a friend that:

One of the on-the-cheap teams on the national scene has still retained
sponsorship.

One of the not-quite-so-on-the-cheap teams is losing their
sponsorship.

The two will combine keeping the second group for the most part and
turning loose the unpaid contingent.

And we will all get to read one of their diaries all next year.

Hey,

This isn't news. The real news is MAXXIS Tires is moving up. The 7UP
Team's co sponsor steps up as they step down.

So it will be Maxxis-Healthnut Monohan will lead out Gordo. Pretty
much what he does all year long, anyway.

Tom: Didn't know you had any friends! Seriously.

Thanks,
Ronde Chumpion

The Prime Alliance/HealthNet merger was already reported here
by one of the RCs.
