Top hats are made from beavers. Were made from beaver fur. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beaver_hat Excerpt: "A beaver hat is a hat made from felted beaver fur. They were fashionable across much of Europe during the period 1550–1850 because the soft yet resilient material could be easily combed to make a variety of hat shapes (including the familiar top hat).[1]" Cheers |

Top hats are made from beavers. Yes, as Sir states, felt made from beaver pelts. The trade in beaver pelts and dried, salt cod from the Grand Banks was, perhaps, the major driving force for the early colonization of N. America, particularly the French settlements in what is now Canada. -- Cheers, John B. |

Since these compose about 350 times the numbers of deaths than bicyclists why do we not demand mandatory helmet laws in motor vehicles? |

My $22 Chinese helmet has the CPSC sticker in it. I do not believe that you actually have to have your helmet tested by the group but need only claim so. As far as I can tell, this is built BETTER than my Bell or my Bontrager Solstice helmets. It certainly fits a hell of a lot better. The Bontrager does not even have a CPSC sticker in it. It isn't as if this is NASA engineering. |
