is he a killer cyclist?
We can only hope that this poor woman survives and that it is a lesson to
all those who think it is big and clever to cycle on footpaths. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...permarket.html Fortunately they appear to have caught the perpetrator. If the worst happens and this poor woman dies, hopefully he'll be charged with manslaughter - at least. |

The Daily Wail exaggerates cycling stories. Remember the cyclist who they claimed mowed down the little girl and rode off, or the cyclist they claimed told youngsters to get out of the way? Then Daily Wail's accusations were at best not proven and at worst deliberate lies. -- David Hansen, Edinburgh I will *always* explain revoked encryption keys, unless RIP prevents me http://www.opsi.gov.uk/acts/acts2000/00023--e.htm#54 |

I think the more important lesson is that it's wrong to cycle into pedestrians and knock them over, and that goes the same whether they're on footpaths, footways, private land or even just walking on the carriageway. JNugent is always telling us about the importance of the presumption of innocence, so I don't think it would be wise to comment on the specifics of your second paragraph. But I hope that the truth of the accident is established and whoever is in the wrong gets what's coming to them - and, of course, that the woman makes a full recovery. -dan |

They may well do so, but they're *certainly* not the only ones (age group, socio-economic group, etc) who do it and that is certainly not the only area where it happens. |
