Kirkcudbright Criterium, 26th August
Well, it's that time of year again.
Kirkcudbright Criterium will be held this year on Sunday 26th August, with support from Scottish Power Renewables. There will be three classes, a 'fun race' for less experienced adult cyclists, an under 16s race, and the main event for experienced racers. Andy McKinlay of Ayr Roads will be commissaire. The course round Kirkcudbright is short and tight through the medieval High Street and Castle Street, and makes for exciting racing: it will be fast, it will be furious, it will be fun. More importantly, it will be one of very few opportunities to race on closed roads in Scotland this year. Each class will be strictly limited to 40 starters, and while we will take entries on the line if there are places available, it's unlikely that you'll get into the main event unless you get your entry in soon. Entry forms and further details from http://www.stewartry-wheelers.org/ki...ght/criterium/ -- (Simon Brooke) http://www.jasmine.org.uk/~simon/ :: Wisdom is better than weapons of war :: :: Ecclesiastes 9:18 :: |
