Default Unconditional c.f. frame warranty available?

So if you crash your new c.f. frame and ruin it, are you just SOL, or does anybody offer an unconditional frame warranty?

Thanks.

Even a aluminium alloy or a steel alloy frame is NOT covered under warranty if you crash the bike. Crashing a bike is considered abuse by every manufacturer I've eve heard of.

So if you crash your new steel/aluminum frame and ruin it, are you just
SOL, or does anybody offer an unconditional frame warranty? If you are
woried by this sort of question don't buy a CF frame or any sort of frame.
There are crash replacement arrangement that you get a discount when you
crashed a CF frame in the first 2 or 3 years.

The usual path is a 'no fault replacement' which essentially
means the replacement frame is at something like
manufacturer's cost to you. Try:

http://www.devilfinder.com/search.ph...lt+replacement

Manufacturer gets goodwill, no actual loss (theoretically an
opportunity cost, but only when there's a shortage of
product, which there never is). You get certainty in an
uncertain world, both parties avoid negotiation/ litigation.

What you usually do not get is a free frame when the
manufacturer has erred. Here's a rider comment on that
subject from a result on the search above:

"...the LBS manager sent it to Trek, where they looked at
it, scratched off a bit of paint at the end of the crack,
and said they thought it was most likely caused by an impact
(and therefore not covered by their warranty). In order to
give me a definitive answer, they said they would have to
cut off the top tube to look inside. After doing the math to
determine the cost of buying a new frame under their
replacement discount program (20% off) vs having the crack
repaired, I asked the LBS manager to tell Trek to just
return the bike to the shop so we could send it off to
Calfee for repair..."

That's not a very coherent argument. One issue with CF frames is that
it's very easy to damage a CF frame in ways other than crashing it.

Clamping it in a repair stand incorrectly, using the wrong type of car
rack, or attaching accessories with clamps that damage the frame.

Replacement frame warranties cover manufacturer's defects and problems
caused by normal use, not damage caused by the owner.

The colloquial Arab term for a western style toilet is "al Qaeda". This
should be more than a hint to the otherwise clueless.
