Losing the will to live
What has happened to urc? It seems to have been taken over by a wave of
argumentative nit pickers while the regular, interesting and/or informative posters seem to be fading into the background. Its got to the point where I am seriously considering whether it is worth continuing to wade through all the raging battles to find something worth reading, which would be a sad end after 11 years and 13,000 postings. -- Tony "The most savage controversies are those about matters as to which there is no good evidence either way." - Bertrand Russell |

Hang on it the spring should be along soon, which hopefully will put an end to much of the raging 'cabin fever' that has been expressed here of late...... |

Kill the silly threads. Especially crossposts to [****]. You can also kill some of the proven *****s. To take two extremes, avoiding any (sub)thread starting with "Matt B" or "spindrift" will spare you a million lines of garbage for every worthwhile post you miss. -- not me guv "I'm able-bodied. I'm off the bike with a ruptured L5/S1 disc, although I have been spotted in secret training here ;-) http://www.simonmason.karoo.net/MVI_1476_0001.jpg http://www.simonmason.karoo.net/MVI_1472_0001.jpg Hopefully, the whole season won't be written off.
