Davey is through
The Rebellin exclusion from the Worlds was about the worst example of
pettifogging pusillanimous officialdom adhering to obscure rules that nobody gives a hoot about anyway just to prove they're in charge. Davey decided that he'll never again take out a license for any UCI affiliate. Davey ain't gonna support ******s who pull stunts like that when they bend the rules every which way when it suits their purpose. He's gonna get himself a UFOLEP license next year and screw the UCI. They were always a bunch of ******s anyway. I suppose times do change, but in Davey's day, the starter might have dropped the flag, but not a rider in the bunch would have moved off the start line until Rebellin was lined up and ready to go. -- le Vent a Dos, Davey Crockett Six Day Site: http://sixday.741.com/ Latest Road Racing news at http://sixday.741.com/news.html |

I don't think that anyone has any questions about Davey's credentials other than exactly who he is. I'd put him and Benjo in the same Start list of the 1958 Manx International should clinch it :-) |

I'd have loved to seen him give the Italian selectors an arndt if he had managed to win. |

Can you say "Guido Trenti?" |

Davide has an Italian license and Argentine citizenship. Simoni is considering becoming Swiss citizen. The whole thing is getting farsical. -- My bike blog: http://diabloscott.blogspot.com/ |
