Nothing, it's a bit of a joke that's all. The bikes in their lesbian
category have stand-over frames and would, in a "straight" bike shop, be
called women's bikes.

That's not tokenism by any normal definition of the word I know

How about this? It is a start-up business with gay owners, they feel that
one approach to building their business is to market to the gay community.
They know, and that community knows, that bikes aren't gay-specific---they
are doing it in a light-hearted way after all---but it's an angle.

Right so what if somebody, lets say in their 30s, able bodied and white
were to open a shop and create a website selling bikes for the just that
category of people.

Assuming a few other local shops would it attract more or less business
as a result ? Could it be called discriminating or just specialist ?
