I am now a total aficionado of clincher rims and clincher tires with butyl tubes. If you want a nicer ride latex costs a hell of a lot less than that monster that can't be repaired for $30 a shot. Who doesn't check their tire pressure before each ride? So I don't see that as a negative for latex tubes. I also think that the means by which the filler valve is attached is an accident waiting to happen for only $30 a tube.
