mcewen takes another green, chicken gets more spots, and boonen
suffers through the mtns and wins on the champs.

that is all.

Be absolutely certain to file that away so that you can bring it out and
look at it afterwards. This year's Tour is completely open and I'd carefully
watch Levi were I you. And yes, Moreau is on the card as well.

My predictions will come after the Tour de Suisse.

moreau will rise to the occasion. the french will name streets after
him, children, schools, government buildings ... they will say that he
might have won his home Tour numerous times were it not for the doping
dynasties of the past decade from america and germany (denmark) ...

Didn't you predict that DiLuca didn't have a chance in the Giro a couple
months ago?

Yes, I believe so. If i recall, I said something to the effect that
he'd burn out before the final week ... that he was expending too much
energy early on. I was counting on Cunego and Simoni being
stronger ... they let me down. Christophe will not.

I do remember saying that you had to watch DiLuca carefully and that I
thought he had a good chance. But I will admit I didn't expect him to win
the way he did.

Sorry, but I will eat my (racing) shoes if Moreau wins the TdF. In
fact, I would be stunned if he ends up on the podium.

He wont win a TT and he will loose time in the mountains: So in
general he is not a real candidate.

1. Vinokourov: The only challenger of Lance Armstrong who is still
active. Has the Vuelta under his belt and is showing form. That he
dropped a lot of time in the mountains of the Dauphine doesn't matter,
it could very well be part of his build-up traject not to go to deep
now. Considering he did have two great stage wins it seems very
2. Thomas Dekker: Extremely impressive in Romandie where he dropped
Savoldelli on a not so steep climb, something wich should suit
Savoldelli. He has very good TT skills.
3. Alejandro Valverde: I am hard pressed to choose between him or
Contador. But Valverde is a tad older and more experienced.

Outsiders:

Contador: Young and upcoming. Has TT and climbing potential.
Levi Leipheimer: Got the climbing skills and a decent enough TT. So
far always had a (very) bad day

I am betting my money on one of these 5 ^^
