Blinded by the Moon?

"I only had the phone held to my ear for 30 secs, Officer".

Sez the man who has admitted to driving at 120mph and admits
to not wearing a seatbelt.

Now you're making something up. I have worn a seat belt for
as long
as I can remember. I didn't wear one before it was legal
though. You're mistaking me for Peter Hucker.

As for driving at 120mph when on an empty motorway section,
yes I used to do that years ago, but now the most I do is
90mph because if caught it means an instant ban from driving
if doing a 100mph or more. I certainly have never held a
phone to my ear like you were done for
it.

Yip, the elderly man with his elderly wife sat next to him
whilst he was driving at 120mph told me that he was paying
"extra" attention to the road. Can you define this "extra"
attention for us? Now the most you do now is 90mph! To be
quite honest Bod, you are not fit to comment on driving. I go
with the flow of traffic. If they are doing 90mph, then I do
the
same if I consider it safe to do so.
BTW, I've never been nicked for anything, including parking
fines. I have also never had an accident....yet......You?

So you consider it safe to be lead by the flock?
BTW, I used to drive more miles in a month than you did in a year
and have been bumped, none of the bumps were my fault.
I am still waiting for you to explain your "extra" attention to
us.................... taps fingers ........................

Us?

Yes us. I'm sure that the proper road users and silly psycholists
in this group will be interested in your "extra" attention whilst
driving at 120mph and you thinking it is okay to drive at 90mph.
Don't be shy............... :-))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Yawn!

End of. Is that okay with you? :-)

Suits me, sir :-)

notorious, troll-feeding, senile idiot, blathered again:

I crashed into the Armco at 70mph on the M62 in 1983.

That might explain your brain damage, troll-feeding senile idiot!

Correct, that is the incident I was referring to. I have driven on the motorway while tired. I simply pulled off at a service station. You feel a lot better after having pulled off.

Clearly it was just 'A momentary lapse of concentration' and therefore not the driver's fault. Or possible the driver had a medical emergency or had to swerve to avoid an unlit cyclist.
Strange isn't it that all cyclists ride constantly on pavements yet rarely hurt anyone and motorists never intentionally drive on the pavement but these sort of things happen every day.

Don't you "think" it would be better to wait and hear the facts of the case?
Or don't they matter?

If you bothered to read my post instead of knee jerking you can see I suggested it could be a driver medical emergency. At that is the point, cars are so inherently dangerous they still hurt people even when the operator is completely blameless.

Does that mean that facts matter or that they don't matter?

If your post was supposed to be impartial, measured and judicious: it
wasn't.

I see that the car stopped at the scene, a cyclist would have scuttled
off (to make the post on topic)

Remarkable things, these self driving cars.

At first glance, the Peeler, a sinuous, tubular animal with pink-grey
skin and a paddle-shaped tail—looks very much like an eel. ++
