Now you're making something up. I have worn a seat belt for as

Indeed - it is Peter Hucker (aka "Commander Kinsey").

Stop stalking me Mr Mason.

You are such a well known tosser.

Uncle Peter retreats into personal insults when challenged. This makes
his attempted insults actually compliments; confirming his suspicioun
that he is inadequate in some way.

Those groups died about 15 years ago. You really are a stupid person. The
stupidity of the cyclist cannot be underestimated.

I see that the car stopped at the scene, a cyclist would have scuttled
off (to make the post on topic)

Remarkable things, these self driving cars.

Oddly, and though they are by no means yet common, such things do exist
(AIUI).

The car crashed into the three pedestrians and a traffic light on Great
Eastern Road outside Stratford Shopping Centre just before 9am on Saturday.

Clearly it was just 'A momentary lapse of concentration' and therefore not the driver's fault. Or possible the driver had a medical emergency or had to swerve to avoid an unlit cyclist.
Strange isn't it that all cyclists ride constantly on pavements yet rarely hurt anyone and motorists never intentionally drive on the pavement but these sort of things happen every day.

Don't you "think" it would be better to wait and hear the facts of the case?
Or don't they matter?

If you bothered to read my post instead of knee jerking you can see I suggested it could be a driver medical emergency. At that is the point, cars are so inherently dangerous they still hurt people even when the operator is completely blameless.

Does that mean that facts matter or that they don't matter?

If your post was supposed to be impartial, measured and judicious: it
wasn't.

Go back and read what I actually wrote, think about it and then ask relevant questions. Don't be afraid to ask for adult help at any stage.

Oddly, and though they are by no means common, Nugents exist that
struggle with putting 2 and 2 together.

Blinded by the Moon?

"I only had the phone held to my ear for 30 secs, Officer".

Sez the man who has admitted to driving at 120mph and admits to not
wearing
a seatbelt.

I have driven at 140mph on the A9 in Germany.

And almost killed yourself an your wife by driving when half asleep.

And with no functioning windscreen wipers.

You don't need those. Very heavy rain makes an even film of water over the window so you can see through it easily.

I was once stopped on a police spot safety check and they found one "problem" - my windscreen washers had no water in them (they never do). The policewoman said (sarcastically), "That's like the worst crime ever!!"
