Default V-rex XL boom length

would someone be kind enough to give me a measurement of their XL boom,
from the center point of the head tube to the center of the point of the
bottom bracket? I'm trying to determine the XL length compared to the
14.75" I get when I measure an '02 rocket's boom length. I'm assuming
the XL is approx. 2" longer than a standard.

I have a 2001 XL V-Rex. It's hard to be exact with the measurement
since the head tube is at an angle to the top tube. But I get
about 39 cm (that is, about 15.4 inches).

It's never been clear to me just where an XL V-Rex is bigger than
a standard frame. Are they just longer in the headtube to bottom
bracket???

I believe so. That gives us long-leggedy beasties more room for our knees
under the handlebars. It also means the center of gravity is where it
should be, instead of having the seat shoved all the way back.
