'No electronic link' to Toyota acceleration complaints

"There is no electronic-based cause for unintended high-speed
acceleration in Toyotas."

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-12394220

On various threads over the last couple of years, I blamed the
computers in Toyota cars for the problems that they had.

It seems that I was wrong & that the problems were nothing to do with
either the computers or the software.

I think that I must apologise for all the incorrect posts that I made.

I also accused various people on this NG of lying, evading the
truth, and being so dependent on their cars that they would use any
excuse to defend motor vehicles.

I now admit I was wrong & incorrect to do this and must also apologise
to all of them that I wrongly accused.

In future I will not be so quick to accuse and will look at the facts
before I post my oponions.

Please forgive me for these mistakes.

but the toyotas in the usa are getting their revenge: three people have
been murdered in their sleep by toyotas starting themselves up in the house
attached garage , leading to CO poisoning. At least one survivor is trying
to sue.
Toyota point out that the cars have been left powered up, and despite all
the audible and visual warnings the owners have got out and left the car,
not too bright these merkins, and they don't seem to have CO alarms in their
houses either.
