Default Tributes pour in for 'absolute gem' cyclist who died in Aberdeenshirehorror crash

QUOTE:
Tributes are pouring in for an 'absolute gem' who died following a horror crash in Aberdeenshire.

We told how cyclist, Rikki Gault, passed away after the collision with the lorry on Low Street in Banff at around 2.20pm on August 7.

The 30-year-old was rushed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries but sadly died.

Devastated loved ones have taken to social media to pay tribute to an 'amazing lad' who 'will be sadly missed'.

One wrote: "Absolutely shocked at this devastating news.

"Rikki, you will be sadly missed.

"Such a sad loss of such a great guy."

Another posted: "Another amazing lad given his angel wings far to soon.

"RIP, pal."

A third added: "Absolute gem of a dude.

"RIP, pal."

Another commented: "Rest easy, bro.

"You will be missed."

A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

The street were the crash took place was closed for around eight hours as officers carried out their investigation.

A Police Scotland statement read: "Anyone who witnessed the crash or has seen either the lorry or the cyclist prior to the crash is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 2066 of August 7."
