Agreed that helmets can cause harm.
However you do not need much exposure of your head (or any other part
of your body) to the sun in order to get the benefits you claim.
About 10 minutes a day in full sunlight (or proportionately more when
cloudy etc) should be enough.


About 147 hours a day should do it in the UK, then...

Very occasionally don't, usually on cycle trails rather than the road.
However, my vote would be against legislation.


Protecting yourself should NEVER be compulsory.

I do not wish to look like a ****ing pansy, and would not wear a helmet even if it was the law. Just as I do not wear a seatbelt in my car.
