Default derailler question

I have a sachs rear mech (of about 1996 vintage on a Ryan recumbent) and
would like to know if the cable pull is the same as shimano or is it as the
new sram. At the moment I have twist grip 7 speed changers but I want to
change to bar end changers and it seems that shimano are the only ones
available. Picture of the bike is he-

Pretty certain it will be the same as Shimano-7.

The Sachs Aris rear block on my upright tourer is the same as Suntour 7 and
Shimano 7 spacing.
The Sram dual-drive 7 speed changer on my Pashley PDQ looks to be the same
as Shimano (really must get round to swapping the rear mech, I have a much
better one in the shed).

On the fine-tuning of the bar-ends shifters on the Ryan...
Do you plan to change the MTB bar ends on your handlebars for something
different ? In terms of hand shape, they are pulling towards the rear at
the top, whereas the natural hand shape requires them the other way round
for really comfy bar-end shifter operation (one or two recumbent makers are
now angling the top of under-seat-steering bars forwards at the top for the
shifter. Not much of an angle, but it makes a big difference). Might be
worth experimenting with swapping the MTB bar-ends from left-to-right.
