Car damages cemetery.
Once again demonstrating the sheer destructive force of a car compared
to the much maligned bicycle. "A woman from South Gloucestershire has said she is "devastated" by the damage she caused at a cemetery after losing control of her car. Shirley Potts, who is a Labour member of South Gloucestershire Council, was visiting Mangotsfield Cemetery on Easter Sunday to tend her son's grave. She lost control of her new car and accidentally drove over the memorials. Mrs Potts said she was advised not to contact the police but report it to the council when their offices reopened. After laying flowers on her son's grave, Mrs Potts, who had owned the vehicle for a month, was trying to leave when her foot slipped and caught on the accelerator. "It all happened so fast, the car just shot forward," she said..." http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/bristol/8610549.stm It wasn't a Toyota by any chance was it? If it was no doubt we shall never be allowed to know. -- UK Radical Campaigns www.zing.icom43.net A driving licence is a licence to kill. |

It might have been a Toyota, lets check the report, driver in new car lost control "foot slipped and caught on the accelerator. " Sounds like the sort of thing that might have happened to Toyota's in the USA. I think NASA should investige. WSR |

But since you're so keen on suggesting the use of Google, it was a Hyundai i10. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ukne...es-in-car.html from the article: "But local politician Shirley Potts has now come forward to admit she accidentally mowed them down when her muddy foot slipped onto her brand new car's accelerator" |

I did wonder whether one of the gravestones might have been a cyclist's, the it could have been 'Driver rams cyclist in Graveyard attack' or something. |

Most people know that cars are heavy objects, and driving them into things isn't going to end happily. Anyway, "car runs over people who are already dead" is hardly newsworthy. It wasn't a Toyota by any chance was it? If it was no doubt we shall never be allowed to know. This statement just shows that twice in one post you are determined to make something of nothing, and making things up to try and justify your misplaced rage. |

Are you trying to say that he is a narrow minded bigot, who wears blinkers, who doesn't have the ability to learn anything, while all the time spouting out rubbish against anybody or anything that he does not agree with, while still selectively quoting & misquoting from various sources that he thinks may back up his one sided view of the world, all the time telling everybody that he is the only person who knows what is happening, while at the same time asking for more laws even if he is an anarchist, who denies the holocaust, thinks Hitler invented motorways, thinks all car drivers are killers, and we should all live in vertical cities, never have public holidays because the Christians rule the world, should allow cyclists to drive on motorways, in supermarkets & along railway platforms, who will have answers for all your travel problems but will never tell you how (Vince's report), a person who is the most rammed cyclist in the history of the world, but can't produce proof. Are you trying to say that, if not why not? Thomas |

Doug gurgled happily, sounding much like they were
saying: After laying flowers on her son's grave, Mrs Potts, who had owned the vehicle for a month, was trying to leave when her foot slipped and caught on the accelerator. It wasn't a Toyota by any chance was it? two second google It wasn't. It was a Hyundai. "She scraped the mud from her feet before getting into her brand new grey Hyundai i10, which has an automatic gearbox." http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1264561 Maybe the same issue afflicts them, eh, Duhg? Certainly sounds like the same cause as the Toyota issues. "But just as she turned to pull away her foot slipped sideways from the accelerator and lodged under the brake. As it slipped her heel clipped the accelerator, and as she tried to pull her foot free the car sped forwards and slammed into six graves belonging to members of the same family." |
