The advantage of the moveable type was that you could replace a single worn out character. his allowed mass manufacturing of Bibles. Originally they were all in Latin until the Reformation. Martin Luther made an impression. Up until the 1950's in printing rooms they would employ people that checked for worn typefaces. |
