*boudreaux* (also known as 'sydney' and 'biker billy' on other fourms),
one of the most prominent contributors to the equipment sub-forum was
killed in Denver CO the other day while riding his bike by a 17 year
old motorist who was sending a text message!

sadly this is all too true.....

and having recently returned from Denver CO and been on the same
stretch of road at a similar time of day only weeks ago...OUCH, Denver,
like many cities , especially Melbourne is still quite a bike town,
with a huge network of trails and bike paths, and many bike lanes
marked on roads....sadly also like Melbourne it has a high incidence of
driver inattention which culminates in loss of life....

Jim Price you will be sadly missed..... thank you for giving us your
thoughts , help and guidance on matters bike.... JIM PRICE .....RIP
