"High levels of cycling training damage sperm"

The more cycling training the sportsmen undertook, both in time and kilometres,
the worse their sperm quality became.

Darwin at work - making them fire blanks will ensure the thinning out and
eventual eradication of the species.

Probably more to do with the huge amount of drugs and synthetic hormones
they take. Lance Armstrong is a triathlete these days, no further comment
needed.

Unless they find a cure for cycling first.

A side effect of excessive anabolic steroids (testosterone and the like)
is testicular atrophy caused through inhibition of the anterior pituitary
gland.

Sadly some guys are taking cocktails of all kinds of stuff secretly so I
doubt there's been any studies on the long-term effects.

Although in Lance's case I think he is infertile anyway, isn't he? I think
he stored his sperm before the chemo. I wonder what kind of mindset he must
have had, to go through all the awful illness and therapy, then pump himself
full of synthetic crap to win races. Or any drug cheat really, they're so
careful about what they eat, don't smoke, avoid all kinds of "unhealthy"
lifestyle choices, yet they allow their team "doctor" to put all kinds of
untested chemicals into their bodies.
