Default RIP the 81 year old mown down on a crossing by a cyclist

"An elderly man who was knocked down by a cyclist has died.

The 81-year-old pedestrian suffered serious head injuries after colliding
with the 22-year-old cyclist.

It happened on the pelican pedestrian crossing on the A56 Manchester Road,
Broadheath, Altrincham, next to the junction of Devonshire Street."

There needs to be a 'causing death by reckless cycling' law.

Why? Death by recklessness would cover it. If I do something really stupid which causes you to die, but it doesn't involve a bicycle or a car, I'd still get prosecuted. Why have seperate laws for everything?

It takes two to cause an accident.

Not necessarily.

You may be thinking of manslaughter, but that does not apply in every
case of simple negligence or misadventure.

Why have seperate laws for everything?

In order to make it easier to prosecute, of course.

It doesn't.

It might sometimes fall out that way, but not always.

What ones do you think I can get away with then?

For the simpleton judges.

Do you have a point to disagree on? Do you have any thoughts at all? Or are you just a bot?
