Lighten up, Mister Ed. Sig Lines are NOT part of the post. They are SIG
LINES. They are intended to tell something about the sender, not to
provoke discussion or in your case retribution. If you don't like what
Tom's sig line says about him, TOUGH! You're not required to. I don't
agree with him either, but he is well within what is generally
considered 'acceptable use.'

All top posters are idiots!

Why not quote me concerning the relevant message and/or passage you are
responding to? Others are reading what we are writing you know.

I read all of a post that I am going to respond to including the signature
line. When the subject thread is off topic, all is fair, but when the
subject thread is on topic then we should be careful about our signatures so
as not to rile up off topic passions. Those who purposely write provocative
signatures can expect retribution.

There was some jackass here some months ago who was posting some nonsense
about Senator Joseph McCarthy in his signature which had absolutely nothing
to do with anything. You think I am going to let something like that pass?
More often than not, a signature line is not being used to tell us something
about the sender, but something about what the sender thinks about the
receiver. Try to get real!

Mr. Tom knows what he is doing every inch of the way. He knows when he can
post nonsense in his signature line and when he can't. When he is on topic
he has to be careful about his signature or he will hear from me and then
the subject thread will be ruined. It is up to him how much he wants to ruin
this group.
