And speaking of cowardly, any news about New York City? Even
tentative or possible dates? That would help me in setting aside time
to see you if you're in town the same days I am. I hope you're not
chickening out but I think you are, which is funny since you started
this meeting thing by suggesting your opponents would be afraid to

Anyway, I predict insults from you as an attempt to deflect my
questions about your trip, whereas if you were sure you weren't coming
to NYC you'd simply say so. Or if you were possibly coming and
willing to meet you'd give possible dates so a meeting would be more
likely to happen.

I'm so curious what you look like I'd even consider coming out to
Woodside Queens (one of the places you said you might be) to do it if
it was early enough so that I could make it to work on time. Though
midtown is better and wouldn't have to be so early -- like 8am or 8:15
depending.

So any tentative dates? Or insults?

Geezus, you really are obsessive. I thought I was going to be in the
NYC area this summer. The trip didn't work out, for several reasons. It
might surprise you to learn that I am not willing to travel ~1400mi
just to meet you. OTOH you're welcome here anytime. If you want a more
public forum, I'll be wrenching at three charity rides in the next
several weeks.

There's no "flaw" in taking a "survey" of personal experiences -- and in
fact two of the three choices given were COUNTER to your imagined pro-helmet
agenda. Only minor mistake was calling it a "poll" which usually involves
opinion (subjective), versus a "survey" which often is more fact-oriented
(objective).

Consider that I was born in NYC (Bellevue Hospital) and still know the
difference between the BMT, IND and IRT. Then consider that, despite
the rapid growth and influx of folks and (cultural influences) from LA,
NY, Chicago, etc., there is still some idiot holding KKK rallies in
Siloam Springs, AR. Place your bets accordingly. ;-)
