Magic plastic hat not required
The human skull is more than enough protection.
QUOTE: "A teenage cyclist had a miracle escape when he hit the front of a van head first so hard some of his hair was left jammed in the shattered windscreen.. The 14-year-old collided with the van outside Barrs Hill School and Community College in Radford Road, Radford, Coventry at 8.40am this morning. The boy was left with a head injury which is not believed to be serious. Ambulance staff said the boy, who was not wearing a helmet, had a lucky escape. A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "When ambulance staff arrived they found a small van with a badly damaged windscreen, with a dent in the bonnet. "The 14-year-old cyclist was confused and he couldn't remember the incident, which are all the hallmarks of a head injury. The teenager was not wearing a cycle helmet at the time." http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/new...t-who-10874543 |
