Of all the miles of docks with which I am familiar in Liverpool, London,
Dover, Manchester, Folkestone, 'Ull and Dublin (let's not even mention
Calais, Ostend, Dunkirk and Boulogne), not one inch has a railing.

Yet people do not overbalance, fall into the water and drown except on
vanishingly rare occasions. One assumes that the idea is that you are
supposed to employ some common sense and judgment and stay away from the
edge, particularly when not planted on one's own two feet.

Hardly a jackpot.
He was 40.
25 years earning potential at an average cyclist salary of £100kpa + interest + promotion + pension + investments + stocks..
£10 million would seem more appropriate.

The only comfort we can take from this is we are not people who delights in the death of another human, unlike you.

He was most likely ****ed or drugged up.
Cyclists think that they can get away with this, this one didn't.

He should have worn a helmet, the magical force field would have steered him away from the edge.

Care to cite these earning for this cyclist?
Thought not. You do live in your own little stupid cycling bubble.
Get real! Most cyclists are too stupid to drive a car. All they have is a
bike, a council flat and a life on the dole.
No woman, no future, no money and no hope. Just like you.

I was on £60000 pa at BP and retired with a £325000 pension pot.
I get £17000 pa now sat on my arse all day!
Plus my last driving holiday was 7000 miles.

You seem to be the only person who has suggested that, unless you can
cite otherwise.

We have been told many times that the only safety precaution cyclists need to take is to wear a helmet.
