Default Trek Time Trial Bike Lingo

The new Trek time trial bikes use tubes with Kamm Tail Virtual Foil (KVF)
Technology to cheat drag. KVF technology creates a virtual tail and it
fakes the air into thinking the rest of the air foil is there, but it allows
the air to bend just a little bit when a rider is at yaw. Most riding is
into the wind at 10 degrees of yaw where typical air foil shapes go into
stall, but Kamtail works well past 20 degrees. This means less drag and
higher speed. With KVF air behaves as if the tail of the foil is still
there. You get the aero efficiency of an 8 to 1 air foil within the UCI
limit of 3 to 1. Oh yeah baby. I'm all over it.
