Exciting stuff. Make sure it's not 0758 or 0801.

Get that hairy caterpillar above your upper lip removed while you're
there.

But then he wouldn't look like the ****s on the 118 advert....

I doubt most scrotes would bother about lights, or even know what they
cost, so I think they'd be relatively safe, Simon. *

I don't take a wallet or money, well an emergency fiver note, but I
have a laminated card with name, postcode, phone No and blood group
(ex-motorcycle racer so know it's sometimes worthwhile!).

Most value I have with me (not intrinsic as such, maybe £400, but,
priceless to me) is a gold chain that holds my wedding ring, I would
fight to keep that ...

I don't have a wedding ring, but I do have a Road ID bracelet with my
details on which I wear next to the watch but that would not be worth
anything to the scrotes. I don't usually carry cash, but I do have a
tenner in my wallet now as I will be going to get my hair cut at 0800
tomorrow morning and it is the only place I ever need any folding
stuff these days.

As I was up at 0500 today, I walked there and arrived at 0830.
It is about six miles away and I enjoyed seeing everyone scuttling off
to work and school.
Since he did such a good job, I bunged him 20 quid.

Great!

Do you still look like one of the 118 twins?

Three onto one again.

"Thieves escaped with hundreds of pounds worth of stolen items after robbing
a cyclist as he rode home last week.
Alex Davies, 40, was cycling along an alleyway near Long Grove Road in Epsom
at about 7.40pm on Tuesday, October 4, when three men blocked his path.

One of the men asked him for the time before demanding all of his
belongings.

Fearing for his safety, Mr Davies handed over his Hugo Boss wris****ch,
Apple iPhone, Blackberry, car keys, Apple iPod Shuffle, various debit and
credit cards plus several items of exercise clothing.

After reading that I have totted up the cost of the gear I have on me
every day.

Junghans Mega 1000 watch - 380
Walkman 64 GB player - 320
Garmin Edge 705 - 300
Exposure Six Pack front light - 400
Light and Motion rear light VIS 180 - 90
Compo cam - 40

1530 quid the lot
.
Bike, clothing and bank cards not included - no wonder I ride at
25mph!

Oops.
Forgot the Sennheiser IE8 earpieces - 200 quid, but as they are not
white, the scrotes won't think they are cool, so I should be safe.

I expect it would remind you of the 16 stone sweaty wife too much.

Jesus... My barber charges £6 a cut, I reckon to be generous giving
him 16.7% tip.

I'll get my hair cut next week, during half term, and then the next
time will be in Sanya, where a cut costs just £1 and a head massage is
thrown in for free. Plus I'll be entertainment for the locals, who'll
queue up to to see a big-nosed foreigner have his platinum hair cut.

My company shares had gone up 20p this morning meaning that I had made
around 1800 quid in the time it took me to walk there, so I was
feeling flush.
And as he had just come back from Tenerife after being closed for a
week, he was down a week's takings and in any case, he had not filled
up his cash float in the till, so I was saving him time in getting his
money bags out of his cycle back pack.

Also, he amused me with his Sat Nav capers on the way to Leeds/
Bradford airport - apparently a hour long drive had taken 2.5 hours as
it took him through all sorts of B roads and villages. I said he
probably had it set on shortest route, rather than the quickest
route. :-)

Enjoy your break and don't post any dodgy comments about pupils on
Facebook.

I don't use Facebook, though I do have a Facebook page.

The only time I have commented about a pupils I have taught, and that
pupil has been identifable was after one of my former students was
sent down for murder.
