I guess the PRI candidates in Mexico purported to be "elected" all those years too. Oh, I see, if the Supremes get invilved, it's their fault. Then if Bush gets "really" elected, it must be some electronic voting conspiracy. And if it wasn't that, then the liberals would have some other conspiracy to blame it on. and those who hate him so much that they actively undermine nearly everything he does. Political insults aside, can one of you true-blue (excuse me, true-red) patriot gentlemen explain to me the "Maureen Dowd, empress of the radical left" meme? I mean, I know a bunch of liberals, lefties, pinko comsymps, and even some Democrats, and Mo Dowd hardly seems to be one of their guide stars - not exactly up there with Marx, Engels, Seymour Hersh and Katha Pollitt. I can't recall anyone ever asking me "Did you read that Mo Dowd column??!" (but that _does_ happen with Sy Hersh's articles). In fact, the _lefty_ critique of Mo Dowd used to be that her column was cutting but shallow. So when did she take over the radical islamo-appeaser Democrat Party? And why didn't I get the memo? Is my ACLU card expired? |

Don't blame me...I voted for the smarter guy (both times). The one who got the higher GPA at Yale was Bush. The guy who ran against Bush in 2000 didn't even graduate. Not J school or even divinity school. My mom, a lifelong Republican and Texan, refused to vote for moron Bush...she referred to him as a "shifty-eyed weasel". Unfortunately, there's too many dummies and too many religious fundamentalist morons (was that a redundancy?) in this country. You're right, however...electing the village idiot twice will go down in history as a low point in US history. I would consider the abject failure to find anyone competent to run against him even more damning. A pair of arrogant buffoons with no more claim to intellectual superiority than a superior attitude. Ron Have you *heard* Bush try to assemble a simple sentence? Compared to most other world leaders, and most other US politicians, the man's an idiot. GG Compared to most other idiots, the man's an idiot |

In either case you really are the kind of treasonous **** we were complaining about having hijacked the Democrat party. See Bill Clinton campaigning for Lieberman today? Can you say "back room DEAL"? LOL This hurts to say it or even to think it. Of the present national level Democrats out there now, Bill and Hill are among the most sane. Both appear to understand the necessity of Iraq, and of course they both believe it would be better if they were in charge, but they do understand the need. And both can be pushed, encouraged, boxed into a corner where they are forced to do the right thing. They both run their mouths and talk big, but don't usually slip off into bizarre fantasy like Dean and Kerry and the like. Go burn a flag or something. Is my ACLU card expired? I wouldn't be surprised if she simply ****ed off conservatives more than she inspired libs. And I don't really know that she attacks the conservatives for any greater reason than that she simply finds them easier from her perspective. She's beaten on a few liberals from time to time, but rarely. I think the main point is that she generates snark and snap and the particular target is relatively unimportant. Sorta like Ann Coulter without the law degree and smarts. I don't think there are any conservatives who see Coulter as a leading light, an amusing read with an occasional truth. Same with MoDo, probably fun, but not like you'll learn anything. Ron |
