A friend who did see it said Powers crawled off the course and had to regroup for a while before continuing. He still managed to hold off Horner for 7th who was finishing strong. Bret |

Bret A couple of years ago I got to see Jesse Anthony do the same thing. Big time crash bunnyhopping with about 3 laps to go. After he got it back together he chased down a really strong field and took the sprint. It's amazing how good some of these people are, and how well the adrenalin factor works. Remember when they wrote JP off? Pretty bad call on that one. Bill C |

It's hard to tell from those pictures but the barriers look to be a bit too close together to try to do a two-hop over them and too far apart to try to do a single hop over both. Did you see what people in general were doing at this barrier, Bret? -- tanx, Howard Faberge eggs are elegant but I prefer Faberge bacon. remove YOUR SHOES to reply, ok? |

Did you see what people in general were doing at this barrier, Bret? The barrier spacing was pretty normal. From the pictures it looks like he hit the first barrier hard with his rear wheel and the rebound caused him to endo. Bret |
