I was at that race but didn't see the crash. A friend who did see it
said Powers crawled off the course and had to regroup for a while
before continuing. He still managed to hold off Horner for 7th who was
finishing strong.

A couple of years ago I got to see Jesse Anthony do the same thing.
Big time crash bunnyhopping with about 3 laps to go. After he got it
back together he chased down a really strong field and took the
sprint. It's amazing how good some of these people are, and how well
the adrenalin factor works.
Remember when they wrote JP off? Pretty bad call on that one.

It's hard to tell from those pictures but the barriers look to be a bit too close
together to try to do a two-hop over them and too far apart to try to do a single
hop over both. Did you see what people in general were doing at this barrier, Bret?

The barrier spacing was pretty normal. From the pictures it looks like
he hit the first barrier hard with his rear wheel and the rebound
caused him to endo.

Looks like he tried to jump that barrier and his rear wheel caught.
Ouch.
